Event:A graduate of Beachwood High School, Dr. Sternheimer is the author of Connecting Social Problems and Popular Culture: Why Media is not the Answer; Kids These Days: Facts and Fictions About Today’s Youth and It’s Not the Media: The Truth About Pop Culture’s Influence on Children. Her commentary has been published in the Los Angeles Times, Newsday, and the San Jose Mercury News, and she has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, The O’Reilly Factor, The History Channel, the Fox Morning News and numerous radio programs.
Speakers:Author and University of Southern California Sociologist Karen Sternheimer will discuss these questions and answer others about trends in youth behavior.
